This book was informative and as a male not going through this I learned a good amount. The reason for it losing a star is because it was written in 2010. In the medical field especially one evolving as much as this it is ancient. Things mentioned as new in this book are mainstream now. There were also a few websites mentioned which not only don't exist anymore but one even gave me a warning from Google as being malicious. For that reason I would have not ordered the book had I remembered to check how long ago it was written.

Very informative! Quick read. Provides realistic expectations to IVF outcomes. Describes the decline from follicle count to actual embryo count. (I thought this was helpful as I was unaware that the drastic decline was normal.) This is not really a book about what to do in the months leading up to IVF, but great information about the science behind the IVF process and what to expect. Great book!

Excellent. Very well written. No beating around the bush & author comes straight to the point right from the first sentence in the book.Fascinating details & I was amazed at how simple & articulate the entire book was even for a layman.Best read till date.

I thought I knew a lot about IVF as my husband and I have been trying to understand our options for about a year now. But I'm glad I ordered this book - it is very clean and no-nonsense without sounding too techie. It is geared neither too strongly towards females or males. Definitely great supplemental reading if you have decided to take the plunge and want to learn more about the timeline and procedures of an IVF path!

We found this book very helpful in understanding all of the different decisions we are/were facing. I like this book better than others I have read.

Excellent book. Easy to read despite it was written by a Doctor. But it has easy vocabulary. I liked the end because has several experiences about IVF proccess. Thanks, because it let me calm down my anxiety

This book is such a great resource for anyone going through IVF. The author gets down to the science of things and the pictures of what is going on are so helpful. Coming from a medical background I really appreciated this book. And for those not from a medical background it is written in a way everyone can understand. My husband and I are about to go through IVF and will definitely be using this book throughout the process.

I found this so helpful. I'm glad that I read it so soon after finding out that we'd need to do IVF because there is so much I didn't know that makes a big difference when choosing a clinic. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who newly finds out they are dealing with infertility.
