This has fun recipes and terrific tips. There are many classics as well as what I'll call new classics. Love the Around The World chapter. The book even included holiday confections--love the recipe and tips for Peppermint Bark. The Cookie Exchange Party has very appealing recipes and creative options. I made the "malted milk chocolate cookies" from this chapter and all I can say is that they are so good they are addicting. I attached a picture of them and other recipes I made from Elisabet's book. The "icebox pinwheel cookies" are tasty and so darn pretty. They are easy to make, just take a little longer with preparation. A beginner baker will appreciate all of the details and "how-tos"--especially the end of the book that addresses special ingredients and the resources for them. An advanced baker will get "ah ha's" from the tips and very much enjoy the recipes. All recipes and instructions are detailed, straight forward, and well thought out--especially for any level baker. I'm ordering another now to give as a gift.

I am a big holiday cookie baker and had read the reviews, which sounded great. These are just fairly ordinary holiday cookie recipes with beautiful photography -- A+ for showstopping food styling, D for showstopping recipes. Very disappointed -- will re-gift.

A book devoted solely to holiday cookies and treats could become a dust collector on my cookbook shelf but I was thrilled to try out these modernized classics plus things I never heard of but which I will make time and time again now( not necessarily just for holidays!) I rarely review cookbooks but this one I felt I must share . Highly recommend. My family and friends all loved the things I baked this year👍 Especially the hazelnut fudge and almond ricciarelli cookies. Superb!

I always do better with a visual, along with recipes - and this book does the trick. Great visuals, and excellent baking instructions, so you know what you're getting into. A really fun selection that can be made around the holidays, or any time for cookie lovers!

I enjoy baking from scratch so purchased this book to (hopefully) add to my collection. I love it! I think there’s a great variety of recipes for all skill levels, and they all sound delish! I’m looking forward to this holiday season even more now!

I’ve baked 6 recipes from this book, and every one has turned out delicious! I appreciate the information about the best ingredients to use for successful baking. The pictures are beautiful and the lay-out of the book is very clear. Ordered extra copies to give to my friends and colleagues.

I confess to using more of the general baking tips than recipes from this book. Even after decades of cookie-baking, I learned a few things that will make all of my cookie recipes more successful. I wish this book had more recipes and more suggestions for variations to try.

I honestly purchased this book to put on my cookbook stand in the kitchen to make the home feel more festive around Christmas time. Of course I flipped through it and ended up intrigued and tried a few of the recipes and they’re delicious and easy! Wonderful instructions, would highly recommend. Bought this as a decoration, now it’s one of my favorite cookbooks!
