This is an interesting book with some good ideas for expanding the use of the 15" rigid heddle loom. It is perhaps better for those who do a fair amount of knitting as most of the patterns make use of knitting and crochet to make the woven parts fit. I have a Schacht Cricket that I love but I also purchased a 25" Flip and make garments on that without the need of knitting. For many folks this book will fill a need and add to their enjoyment of the 15" loom. The book is full of great pictures and many well written instructions.

What a pleasant surprise when I opened this book! Fashion garments! The flowing jackets are fantastic! The top on the cover is not the only one that will have you drooling! The author covers the basics of what can be done on a 15 inch loom including a few tricks I had not come across before, so you have a thorough grounding in setting up your loom from choosing your yarns right the way through to hemming, seaming, and troubleshooting. This comes with links to Youtube videos and the author's own website so that those who work better with visual instructions are not left out, though the photography in this book is comprehensive and good.Since knitting and crochet are incorporated into the designs, there is a minimum of cutting and sewing of your precious handspun, and the garments fit gently without bulk, one of the problems that is usually associated with handwoven garments.The garments also drape beautifully, as its impossible to get an extremely tight tension on a rigid heddle loom. There are summer tops, tops with sleeves, jackets and vests with swing skirts and waterfall collars and a couple of very nice scarves. I noticed that Tamara also includes instructions for larger sizes on garments where they are fitted though most styles are not closely fitted and there is a good allowance for movement. I would suggest a wider loom for those of us who no longer possess our teen-age figures and adapt the patterns accordingly, though its easy enough to add a few extra rows of knitting or crochet at the sides, so this book is not limited to smaller sizes.It would not take much imagination to take the instructions here and apply them to similarly shaped garments that you see in the shops, as the pattern pieces are not complicated. A change of colour and a different style of yarn will produce a totally different look, so this book can be used as a jumping off point to create your own unique pieces. Since rigid heddle looms are quick and easy to set up, its not a difficult or lengthy process.Like all good things, this book will leave you wanting more, and I hope the author writes another book in a few years because it will take that long to start exhausting the possibilities in this one! If you are a friendly soul who lends your books out, make sure your name is engraved on the spine or written down the edges of the pages so you get it back! Its a keeper!

Wonderful idea/instruction book for those of us with small rigid heddle looms wanting to move on from simple projects like scarves to clothing. I like that the author gives information from setup to finishing – and includes multi-size instructions as well. The photography is beautiful and inspiring. Very happy with my purchase and look forward to trying many of the projects included.

I must admit when I first got my hands on this book I was skeptical- it looked self published (not that there is anything wrong with that). However this is one of the best weaving books I have gotten. I love that it is specific to 15" rigid heddle, many of the books are for floor looms or larger looms. Great instructions, pictures and patterns for stuff I would actually wear!

Gorgeous patterns and easy to understand instructions. The hints and general instructions for weaving with a rigid heddle are very helpful. Just starting but hope to make several garments using this book.

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE BOOK !!! Having had Tammy come to my shop over the past several years to teach weaving, I can personally guarantee that both beginners and experienced weavers will benefit greatly when referencing her book. Not only are her designs wonderful and unique, her step by step instructions outline and clearly explain the techniques she has developed to create them for yourself. What more can I say - I'm a big fan - and can't wait for her next publication.

Will try some of these patterns when I become more familiar with my loom.

Although I haven't woven any of the designs, I am anxious to make up my mind. Instructions, supplies etc very clear and easy to follow.
