Finally. Someone who writes about the facts of the case. Everything else I’ve read is very biased. Even though a lot of the case files are available online, there are people who don’t look at it for themselves and just believe the lies that come out of Echols and Baldwin’s mouths in interviews.

This is a detailed account of the murders at Robin Hood Hills that was made famous in the HBO Paradise Lost series. Meece's account is an absorbing, fact heavy look at the case. His portrait of the lesser known players gives the reader a local resident's view of the case.An invaluable resource and read for all those interested in truth not myth.The WM3's supporters who believe the false narrative of the Paradise Lost documentary series will not like this book. The will attack the book not because it's factually wrong but because it's factually accurate.

This is a very well written book with lots of documented facts about the case of the West Memphis 3. The author has done his research!

Gary Meece is a competent writer and worked for one of the local newspapers when this crime was committed. Unfortunately, he pretty much follows the West Memphis PD's narrative on what happened to three little boys on May 5, 1993, never once questioning or investigating that case. There is one discerning fact in this case that I have discovered. The crime scene does not match the confession. This is because the police assumed much and built a narrative in order to deal with the horrors of a murder that shocked the community. I can understand how this happened, but as someone interested in the forensics of this case, I'm shocked that no one really cares about what happened to the children who were murdered. Their story must be left to someone else other than people who are defending or accusing the grown ups.

A really crap book from a terrible writer. If you want to find out anything about the WM3 case read Devils Knot.

This was the first book i read on the West Memphis Three and found it extremely informative and attention grabbing.
