Jeff Romano knows New England hiking and he knows that people love loop hikes because there is so much more to see on a loop hike. The selection of hikes is outstanding and there is a good loop hike here for hikers of every level of ability. At the first page of each hike there is a collection of facts to help the hiker decide whether or not to attempt this hike. Driving directions are clear and concise and the elevation profiles are outstanding because they are easy to read.

Great book.... With lots of information. Useful when planning a hike with kids, seniors and pets :)

We justed returned from 9 days in New England, and the vacation was a wonderful success, in part, because of the research we did before leaving Colorado. I purchased 4 books from Amazon in preparation, and the book about Loop Hikes was the BEST investment we made. We made several hikes, and my favorite was Hike #11 in this book; Franconia Notch. What a wonderful time we had, and we would NOT have known about the hike if we had not researched this book. It was accurate with great maps and directions of where to go and what to expect. Although we hike at home in Colorado, we are "amateurs" and found this book VERY helpful.Thank you, and Happy Trails!

Great reference for hikes in NH that are a loop! Interesting details about the trails.

Bought this book with the idea of being able to take hikes without having to double back on a trail to get back where you started. Haven't yet had the chance this year to try them out but plan to when the weather cooperates. Sounds like a winner.

Gave it to my brother, he has already read it twice. Good information and great size to fit into the backpack.
