"Never Do a Wrong Thing" was written in an unusual and very effective way. It's as if the book is being penned as a long letter directly from Tim to his lifelong best friend, Tom. Of course, it is written in first person, and Tom is usually just referred to as 'you'. I can't remember ever reading another book written like this. I'm sure stories such as this have played out, in real life, countless times over the years, and sadly will probably continue to occur in years to come.I thought the cast of characters was well thought out, though of necessity, we only know what Tim chooses to tell us about them. The writing is very original and extremely readable, and I found the story compelling.This book is definitely on my recommended list!

I have to go back and find that quote because I don’t remember it word for word, but Tim understood it clearly after his and Tom’s fractured friendship. And the quote definitely gives the title of this book a true meaning.Each of the characters in this book revealed something of themselves in this novel. Tim was someone I saw in me. Tom would definitely be someone that I could easily be heads over heals for but probably dislike at the same time.Inka is a good friend that most gay guys would want in their corner as a friend. The funny part for me personally in this story is Tim’s dad, I wish he wasn’t married to Tim’s mom. I would definitely flirt and date him.Marcus is a wonderful author!

Probably a more common issue with young gay men than ever; he's in love with his best friend, but can't come to tell him, because he's afraid that it will destroy the friendship. Perhaps not the greatest read, but a book that would certainly be helpful for any gay teen in a similar situation.
