I love a two for one set of books. Even though I had already read one of them, the Guide, the recipe book was new to me. I learned a lot from Joy Louis, the author's book. I already knew that some essential oils were extracted, but I didn't know about distillation or solvents. I also didn't know that these oils were mankind's first medicines, and some are still used at medicines thousands of years later. I also didn't know that the human brain through our noses can distinguish about 10,000 different scents. The recipes Joy provides can help us with everything some common ailments, to weight loss. Well researched and detailed.

Joy Louis bring to us a really nice book about essential oils to start a healthy live or to continue with our path, this subject is related to her decision to start searching for a better way of life, so she explain to us the history and the importance of essential oils in Alternative Medicine showing us natural homemade remedies and how to choose the best distiller company when you will buy them. The big importance of this book is that is a manual for all those persons that didn't know the benefits of essential oils and would like to use them at home for a healthy life.I strongly recommend this book to those persons that would like to get a healthy life or improve it, it is easy to read and also to follow the recipes. I am sure that I will read more books about this author.

I have always looked to the natural choice for health. From food to making my own shampoos, to using salt rocks in my home. I try to stay away from “processed” items. I have used essential oils before but never knew how many uses there actually were for essential oils until I read this book! This book is filled with great information for anyone that wants to have a healthy lifestyle. I loved the part about pet care and will be trying that next. Straight forward and easy to follow. I was amazed at the multiple uses of oils presented in the recipe section.The recipes illustrate how to remove to bad smells, sinus infections, and a lot more, all with different types of oils. This book is not only a great introduction it is a great resource for those already in the know.

Nature can't go wrong so anytime I am able to replace a product full of chemicals that I can't even pronounce with something natural I will. This book gives you a variety of options to implement the oils into your everyday life, I will definitely try relaxing in the bathtub with the pointers given in the book.

I really appreciate all the effort the author put into this book to get more people thinking about their health and alternative medicine. I am sure this book will help a lot of people in the future, would recommend it.

I was amazed after knowing that essential oils can help reduce weight. After I saw this book in the amazon, I became interested in it. This is really a good guidebook. After reading it, I really learn a lot.

Did not read just browsed through.can not rate just yet just very dissapointed I did not get it in the mail. I still want it on paperback.
